If you do read the Bible, you would see that yes it does promote genocide. Moses is told by God to slay the Canaanites. "Thus Joshua struck all the land, the hill country and the Negev and the lowland and the slopes and all their kings. He left no survivor, but he utterly destroyed all who breathed, just as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded. (Joshua 10:40)" The Bible does contain works of FICTION. The Song of Songs? All erotic love poetry. The Letters? Gossip that was being written back and forth, the equivalent of today's tabloids. Yes, there are philosophical truths to the Bible, but there are also a lot horrible things in it as well. All basic teachings have these streams. From Taoism to even social Marxism. However, in all the years I've studied world religions and philosophy have I ever come across people who deny it more than Christians.

The only thing I’m saying is that this was meant to offend and no is better than anyone if they try to offend each other. I just find it very rude that anyone for any reason should bash the other. I just think there should be respect from ALL sides. No one is better than the other because of anything they believe in, etc. I just am offended that some people preech about equality and then post this. That makes me absolutely livid.
